Sales – Business Development UK

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + 50% commission + benefits

Looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious candidate to join an exciting, well established Research and Analytics provider that is experiencing a period of aggressive growth. The company are looking for somebody who will be comfortable in developing new business and strategically growing existing relationship.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for engaging in high level client discussions and will be targeted on selling a subscription based product that is market leading across its respective field.

Having the ability to identify and deliver new revenue opportunities across the EMEA territory whilst also managing existing clients ensuring subscription renewals is a minimal skill set required. The candidate should have experience in activities which develop, drive, generate and maintain sales lead and must be able give examples of successfully managing pipeline reports in a timely manner and liaise with product Editorial teams in previous roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Developing and growing a network of ‘new logo’s’
- New business within Legal, Banking, Hedge-Fund and Corporate clients
- Building and managing existing relationships
- Develop and execute sales and business strategy
- Work closely with Head of Sales and Global Head to continue market growth
- Continuously hit targets set by Head of Sales

 
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired;
- Strong experience in the financial services or research industry in sales management
- Thorough understanding of Macro Economic Research or Business Intelligence and or the global financial markets (equity, fixed income, alternatives)
- A minimum of three years’ experience in New Business sales
- High level of presentation and sales skills
- Experience working with and presenting to senior level executives
- Strong organisational skills
- Personable, presentable and takes initiative
- Consistent track record in closing and relationship management skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- A self-starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
