Sales Director / Top tier accounts - Investment Research

Salary:  £70,000-£90,000 base salary + double ote + (totally uncapped)

My client is a market leading independent provider of Investment Research and Information, who are currently going through an aggressive period of growth. Through a number of acquisitions and senior hires, the business is now looking for a proven sales person to join their sales team and continue to drive growth across the UK markets and European markets.

Based in London, this hire will be responsible for developing and retaining tier 1 clients within the European Buy and Sell-Side community.

The ideal candidate must have a track record in selling economic or investment research, solutions or services to the financial markets. A minimum of 5 years sales or relationship management experience is required with capabilities of cross selling and upselling within the company’s most valuable accounts.

The position has presented itself due to the company’s success in recent years.

RESPONSIBILITES
- Carrying new business and retention target
- Directly selling products and services across a number strategic accounts
- Building and managing relationships
- Develops and executes responses to queries from prospects and clients
- Interacts with prospect at all levels (including C-Levels)
- Sets-up meetings efficiently to make best use of travel time
- Undertakes demonstrations and/or presentations of selected product offerings
- Negotiates and closes new business contracts

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Masters degree and/or CFA charterholder desired
- Strong experience in the financial services industry in sales
- Thorough understanding of the research and analytical sales process
- Solutions-based selling experience
- Sales closing and relationship management skills
- Clear preference for previous experience working within the Buy Side industry
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- A self-starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
