Product Specialist
Job Description
Our client is a Financial Technology provider playing a pivotal role in the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets. Matching buyers and sellers, they create liquidity and price discovery in these markets and provide insight and context to clients. They operate a hybrid model where brokers provide business-critical intelligence to clients. It’s supplemented by proprietary screens for historical data, analytics and execution functionality. Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Role Overview:
The Risk Product group is seeking an experienced product director oriented to Data Valuation and Risk with in-depth product knowledge. You will be joining a rapidly expanding specialized area of focused on offering premium structuring, valuation, and risk services to an institutional client base.
Familiarity in bespoke derivatives term sheets, the industry standard valuation models and “street practices” used for security valuation and portfolio risk analysis is imperative.
Role Responsibilities:
Support Head of Risk Data Products with the development of solutions that address client risk, valuation and product control requirements following PS Go to Market methodology.
Support the development and enhancement of PS Risk joint ventures and collaborations with 3rd parties
Work collaboratively with PS and Group Analytics Quantitative and Data Science functions to build best in class solutions to meet product/client specifications
Take ownership of the product expansion build: define the product and commercial strategy, write product requirements, collaborate with development and third parties involved to make the necessary developments, perform testing and describe the operational model, define and train operations to perform production tasks, support customers and salespeople with product related queries.
Work closely with other Product Proposition and Implementation specialists to support the design, development and execution of new Product ideas
Use expertise to support and enhance existing D&A product sets
Cross asset derivatives and market risk experience is essential.
Strong understanding of derivatives models including market conventions, vanilla/exotic options, and market practices regarding bespoke exotic valuation and hedging.
Ability to qualitatively and quantitatively assess pricing model output and determine adjustments where necessary
Master’s degree in a technical area (such as Math, Physics or Engineering), quantitative finance field required. PhD in mathematical finance a plus.
Working knowledge of Excel, VBA, Python. Familiarity with financial libraries ( C++) and mathematical packages such as Matlab a plus.
Data Product Manager
Data Product Manager, London/Paris/Switzerland
Our client is a leader in the index and risk analytics market and is looking for a Technical Product Manager to drive their data analytics products, working on both new and existing platforms.
What you will be doing:
Be the evangelist for the data vision and its roadmap.
Participate in discussions with key clients regards our data strategy and access to our content.
Engage sales and other internal stakeholders to help inform the future direction of the Data Platform
Act as the main connection point between members of our data team, data consumers and product builders.
Manage priorities in regard to projects, functional requirement and data assets.
Play an active role in defining the software development lifecycle for the data platform, using this to monitor progress against the roadmap
What you will bring
Strong communications skills are a must. The successful candidate will need to manage communication across a technical and non-technical audience
Experience in data & product cataloguing
A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
Experience with big data tools and running SQL/no-SQL queries

Applied Researcher
Applied Research – Index Analytics
The Applied Research team provides thought leadership designed to drive sales across the organization. Working closely with the sales, customer service, marketing, and product development teams, we use analytics tools to provide regular weekly commentary, in-depth quarterly analysis and topical whitepapers and blogs that highlight thematic and standard indices.
As we expand the Index business through introduction of ESG, Thematic, Factor and other indices built as flagship products and on behalf of clients, the need to expand our research team has grown.
What you will be doing:
- Deliver thought-leadership content and present applied-research analysis in publications (blogs and whitepapers), internal and external webinars, client meetings and media appearances.
- Conduct research on Indices using risk analysis, risk and performance attribution and other analysis methods.
- Assist internal teams, such as Research and Product Development, in translating complex products into digestible applications.
- Assist the Sales organization in facilitating client retention and business development.
- Collaborate with the Client Experience Group in responding to advanced client inquiries.
What you will bring:
- At least eight years of experience with an index provider and a deep understanding of markets and index and ETF investing, with a focus on thematics
- Experience working with ETF issuers, understanding their requirements.
- Quantitative degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Math, or other relevant degree
- Strong educational foundation in math/statistics, or in equity market theory and quantitative disciplines of portfolio construction/research preferred.
- Understanding of various risk modelling techniques, including the use of factor models and time-series methodologies
- Strong data manipulation (e.g., Excel; Python) and data visualization skills (e.g., Power BI)
- Strong writing, analytical and statistical skills
- Effective presentation skills and ability to distil research for broad consumption.
- Demonstrated team focus and client orientation, enthusiasm for the subject matter.
- Flexibility in approach and ability to work independently.
Product Manager
Role Summary:
Our client is a rapidly growing Custody Platform provider in the Institutional Digital Assets arena, and now looking for a Product Manager to build out the capabilities of their platform
You will drive the execution of this product vision through the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch. The competitive landscape and the safe-keeping of clients’ digital assets requires this role to have strong coordination, communication, stakeholder management skills and market knowledge.
What you will be doing:

Risk Management, facilitating the resolution of risks and blockers, adjusting plans to ensure commercial deadlines are met

Hands-on Product Management – you have successfully built and shipped multiple products from scratch, from ideation and discovery through to production launch and continued iteration
Excellent understanding of modern product management practices and experience working in an agile software product development environment
Effective leadership, communication, stakeholder and change management skills, able to articulate benefits and trade-offs to all stakeholders
A commercial mindset
An ability to work independently and collaboratively – in entrepreneurial, regulated, and agile environments
Strong functional understanding of the Digital Asset/Crypto custody space will be an advantage
Experience of working within a regulated, financial services domain is desirable
