Are you looking to be part of one of Europe’s leading exchanges? EC1 Partners are working on a Business Development Manager vacancy to play a key role in their expansion of its equity derivatives franchise.
What you will be doing:
– Generate new business opportunities through product or service development and take accountability for their delivery, actively engaging externally with market participants, regulatory authorities and/or third party data providers, from the beginning of the project till go live, and actively participate to the client adoption process.
– Lead coordination of launch efforts through close collaboration with Product Business Line Management, Legal & Market Regulation, Sales, Operations, Post-Trade, Corporate Communication, and Marketing.
– Contribute to the development of the trading infrastructure in collaboration with IT, global sales and the post trade teams in the objective to build new trading features aiming to better distribute products, and/or harmonise derivatives markets while preserving local ecosystems.
– Partnering with the post-trade team to promote the portfolio efficiencies, to strengthen business repatriation on the second largest equity derivatives liquidity pool.
– Develop partnerships with key industry players: co-design initiatives and on-board the firms driving the flows on both sell-side (banks and liquidity providers) and buy-side.
– Maintain viability of existing products by evaluating the impact of market trends, engaging with clients to gain insight and feedback, and complete maintenance activities on existing products. Identify and design viable product extensions.
– Maintain and develop a strong network with the stakeholders holding the choice of trading venue to grow volumes and market share in the sell-side and traditional buy-side in collaboration with the sales team.
What you bring:
– Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields.
– 5 years working in the equity derivatives industry with focus on listed and/or structured equity derivatives preferred.
– Be an expert in derivatives strategies and structures. Broad knowledge of financial markets, and deep knowledge of the European derivatives market structure. Robust knowledge and awareness of competitor offerings.
– Existing network of external stakeholders within the derivatives industry.
– Ability to take the leadership of a project and interact with various stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences.
