Our client is a leading Global investment data provider for the alternatives market. They are now looking for a Global Head of Research to lead a cross-asset team.
What you will be doing
As Head of Research, you will lead a team across multiple offices, and steer the strategic direction for the research business in the alternatives market. You will also represent the firm at industry events and in media.
Set the vision and strategic direction for the research business.
Manage and mentor a team of global cross-asset class and industry experts.
Be responsible for spearheading the revenue growth by working closely with sales, and engaging with existing and prospective customers.
Collaborate with the cross-functional team – data, technology, commercial and product to ensure best in class institutional research capability, flexible delivery mechanisms and a strong customer centric approach to evolving our research capabilities.
Write innovative, practitioner-focused research leveraging our expansive alternative assets data sets to help our clients better anticipate industry trends and the impact on their investment decisions.
Communicate the company’s view of the alternative assets market to national and global media outlets through high-profile interviews and TV appearances.
What you will bring
An advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or similar quantitative field.
Depth of research and communication experience and engagement with the industry via publications and presentations.
Experience working in the Alternatives Industry.
Experience in leading revenue generating research, gained in alternative research providers, banks, or investment managements. .Cross asset class experience a plus.
Experience in managing global and technical teams, ideally based in multi-locations.
Experienced speaker at industry events and conferences, with demonstrated expertise of engaging with clients.
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally about 20% of the time.
