Account Manager, Hong Kong

A leading payments infrastructure provider across Southeast Asia is looking to hire an Account Manager in Hong Kong to manage and grow relationships with strategic merchants across Greater China and Southeast Asia.

The company powers digital payments, marketplace infrastructure, disbursements, KYC, fraud prevention, and lending use cases for thousands of SMEs and enterprise clients across the region. Since launching in 2015, the business has grown rapidly and is backed by several globally recognised venture capital firms.

The Role

This position will sit in Hong Kong and focus on managing a portfolio of strategic merchants. You will act as the main commercial point of contact for clients, driving long term relationships while identifying opportunities to expand revenue through upsell and cross sell initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and mid market merchants across Greater China and Southeast Asia
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision makers
• Drive revenue growth through retention, upsell, and cross sell opportunities
• Lead renewals and commercial negotiations with clients
• Monitor account performance, usage trends, and overall account health
• Work closely with sales, product, operations, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery
• Translate merchant feedback into actionable insights for internal teams
• Support discussions around integrations and APIs when required

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years experience in account management, client management, or sales
• Background in payments, FinTech, SaaS, or e commerce
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Experience managing mid market or enterprise clients
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese, professional English required

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a high growth technology or payments environment
• Comfortable discussing APIs and integration workflows with technical stakeholders
• Structured and data driven mindset, confident using Excel and CRM tools
• Experience driving renewals and expansion revenue
• Ability to operate in a fast paced environment and collaborate across multiple teams
