Chief Risk Officer – Digital Assets
Our client is a growing Digital Asset exchange, this role is to lead the risk management function for the exchange. You will be tasked to develop risk management policies, help put in place risk metrics and reporting, risk exposures etc.. You will be heading exchange-wide risk management for the group in Asia.
You shall be driving the over-riding vision, direction and plan for risk management for the business. This role reports directly to the Board and will be responsible for providing the risk agenda to the board on all risk matters.
You should possess a strong understanding of statistics and quantitative data analytic methods, as well as a good understanding of different risk management related software applications. Experience gained in or exposure to regulatory processes would be highly beneficial. A strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and knowledge in global regulatory environments would be highly preferred. A strong understanding of MAS regulatory compliance requirements is key. Experience gained within a traditional financial institution or market is needed, meaning exposure to multi-asset class instruments. Any experience in or exposure to digital assets, cryptos and relatable products is highly beneficial.

Tech Ops Lead/ Production Support Engineer
EC1 Partners are working with VC-backed Crypto Custodian who are in search for a Tech Ops Lead where you will be operating on their core platform.
This is an exciting hands-on technical role, which also involves stakeholder management and team leadership abilities. You will also be familiar with delivering and operating applications on Microsoft Azure in a regulated industry.
Security of a digital asset custodian’s infrastructure is of the upmost importance, as a result, you will be expected to work closely with the security team to help implement security policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Azure Platform Operations – own, maintain, and operate the Azure cloud services supporting business development, test, and production environments. Ensure that the platform is available and secure.
Technical Support – provide technical support of business applications and Microsoft estate (Azure and 365) for client services and internal teams. Develop and monitor support metrics to ensure excellence in client service. Collaborate with engineers and vendors providing third-line application support
Team leadership – coach junior technology support staff. Build out the function and team as the platform and activity scales
Incident management – reproduce customer issues, file bug reports, and escalate to engineering with proper and detailed documentation
Technical Documentation – create, update, and disseminate relevant technical policy, process and design documentation and support knowledge-base
Cost Management – effective cost management of the business’s usage of Azure
Security Policy Implementation – apply and maintain security policies in Azure estate, including integration with: Zscaler / Cloudstrike / Qualysis / SNOW and MS Defender / Azure Policies
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
You will have multiple years of experience providing Technology Operations for mission-critical business applications on Azure infrastructure, including:
Support practices and procedures to monitor and operate secure, cloud-native application infrastructure and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time
Technology vendor relationship management
Hands-on experience of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (including Teams and SharePoint)
An “automation-first” approach in how you build and operate services with a proven track record of championing a DevOps mindset
Understanding of security concepts in a cloud environment
Understanding of networking CCNA/Azure networking
Understanding of hybrid multi-cloud and containerisation
Managing Kubernetes clusters / AKS and network components in a production environment
Cloud security services (Zscaler / CloudStrike / Qualys / SNOW)
DevOps toolchain (e.g. IaC such as Terraform, Jenkins for software CI/CD automation)
C++ Tech Lead
EC1 Partners are exclusively partnered with a Digital Asset Market Maker, who are in search for a C++ Tech Lead/Hands-on Engineering Manager to build out their OTC Desk.
API building experience (Websocket) – Ideally, this profile has built API for crypto exchanges;
C++ websocket experience (uwebsocket for instance)
C++ crypto exchange experience (e.g., they have developed back end: matching engine, transactor, drop copy interfaces, transactions storage and processing: ledger, margin computer, etc.)
Knowledge of building reliable and fast internet/cloud based systems (i.e., some understanding of network, TCP, etc.)
(High Frequency) Trading experience – e.g., some understanding of types of orders (Limit, Market, RFQ, etc.) and how an order book works
Moreover, we are interested in additional type of skills (which could lead to other profiles to work with):
AWS gateway / load balancer / api / sre, etc.;
IAM / SSO / Cognito / authentication mechanism (JWT etc.)
QA & Release Manager
EC1 Partners are working closely with a VC-backed Crypto Custodian who are looking for a Quality Assurance & Release Manager. You will work with a small, but growing team who provide secure custody of crypto assets for institutional investors. Time-to-market and the safe-keeping of client’s digital assets require this important role to have strong co-ordination skills and focus on automation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a Quality Assurance strategy for the firm, including the adoption of principles and practice
Own the release management lifecycle for the platform, including scheduling and coordinating releases across in-house and vendor applications and service providers
Work with internal teams (Commercial, Legal, Operations, Product and Engineering), partners and client to align, plan and roll-out change smoothly and efficiently into production
Ensure all projects incorporate a suitable level of quality assurance
Manage risks and resolve challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules – proactively engage stakeholders in release-readiness reviews
Mitigate operational risk by planning, preparing, and rehearsing the rollout of application releases, while managing the readiness of partners and clients
Continuously improve the QA & release management process
Coach, teach, mentor, support and inspire the team in all things Quality
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
You will have considerable experience working in technology management roles, including:
Hands-on experience in Quality Assurance / Release Management roles within an agile product development environment
Excellent understanding of project management practices and software development lifecycle
Effective leadership, communication, stakeholder and change management skills, able to articulate trade-offs to all stakeholders
Modern software delivery techniques to ensure quality (Agile delivery, DevOps practices, automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).
Experience of working within a regulated, financial services domain is desirable
Strong functional understanding of the Digital Asset / Crypto custody space will be an advantage
Senior Institutional Sales – Crypto / Quant Trading
Fantastic opportunity to join a well funded, fully regulated crypto exchange business in Singapore as a Director of Sales for Institutional clients.
This business is very focussed around crypto derivatives and driving tokenization of real world Assets. Reporting to Global Head of Sales based in Singapore, you will be focussed on building revenues, relationships and partnerships within the Trading community. Interacting with Quant driven traders, funds, liquidity providers and FX partners, you will ideally have strong experience from within a algorithmic or eFX quant trading business or team previously. You will ideally have a strong sales or BD track record within an electronic trading or algorithmic trading business focussed around eFX or derivatives. Any direct experience with crypto or digital assets is highly beneficial although not a pre-requisite, some exposure or appreciation/understanding of it is required. This business is very well placed for growth, scale and has an impressive team in place to build out their Asia footprint. Being able to understand and work the trading community including market-makers is a major part of this role. Any local language skills are highly beneficial, preference is for someone well connected and placed within the local trading markets both in Singapore and/or APAC.
