Overview
A global financial markets infrastructure provider is seeking a senior sales leader to drive growth across its market data business in the APAC region. The role focuses on expanding regional presence, developing strategic client relationships, and executing a strong commercial strategy within a fast-evolving financial markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth through the sale of market data solutions across APAC
- Identify and target new market entrants as key growth opportunities
- Consistently meet or exceed regional sales targets
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, handling multiple deals concurrently
- Develop senior relationships with exchanges, banks, asset managers, and data vendors
- Expand business through partnerships and distribution channels
- Contribute to pricing strategy, product development, and go-to-market planning
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the team
- Stay up to date on market trends, competition, and regulatory developments
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client engagements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12+ years of experience in financial markets sales, ideally within market data or trading technology
- Strong track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
- Established network across APAC within market data and trading communities
- Deep understanding of financial markets, including equities, derivatives, and data workflows
- Familiarity with market data licensing, redistribution models, and pricing structures
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Background within a data vendor, exchange, or trading firm preferred
