HPC Infrastructure Engineer – Global Quant Trading Firm
📍 Singapore
I’m working with a leading global quantitative trading firm to hire an HPC Infrastructure Engineer into their growing team in Singapore.
This is a high-performance environment where engineering is at the core of the business. You’ll be supporting and scaling infrastructure that directly underpins systematic trading strategies, working alongside some of the strongest engineering and research talent globally.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, supporting and operating HPC compute and storage infrastructure across on-prem and cloud
- Managing large-scale Linux environments across compute, storage and networking
- Troubleshooting complex system issues across OS, storage, networking and scheduling layers
- Optimising batch and containerised workloads across CPU and GPU environments
- Building and improving cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP and Azure
- Driving automation across infrastructure and operational workflows
- Developing observability, monitoring and performance optimisation across clusters
What they’re looking for:
- 1–5 years experience in Linux systems, infrastructure engineering, DevOps or HPC environments
- Strong understanding of Linux internals (processes, memory, networking, filesystems)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Exposure to schedulers like Slurm or similar is a plus
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scripting or programming in Python, Go or Bash
- Solid networking fundamentals and strong troubleshooting mindset
Nice to have:
- HPC or GPU-based compute environments
- Distributed storage (NFS, object storage, Weka etc.)
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible etc.)
- Interest in performance, scalability and optimisation
This is a genuinely strong opportunity for someone who wants to work on low latency, high performance systems in a business where infrastructure really matters.
