Director of Business Development & Partnerships
Our client is a prominent algorithmic trading firm focused on digital assets, delivering liquidity solutions across most cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms. They offer a wide range of OTC trading services and work closely with leading blockchain projects, as well as traditional financial institutions transitioning into the crypto space. Additionally, their ventures arm invests in innovative, early-stage DeFi projects. Since its founding in 2017 by industry veterans, our client has effectively navigated the evolving crypto landscape. They blend the precision of high-frequency trading technology with the agility and innovation of a tech startup, positioning themselves as leaders in shaping a compliant and cutting-edge digital asset market.
They are currently seeking a Business Development & Partnerships Director based in New York to spearhead their growth in the US region. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of both traditional financial services and digital assets, with a strong focus on expanding the company’s global business network.
What you will be doing:
- Grow institutional OTC business globally by developing and executing your own growth plan for the region.
- Work closely with internal teams to bring new products to market, including derivatives, and manage customer feedback and product launches.
- Deepen relationships with high-profile crypto projects, VCs, and other key players in the ecosystem.
- Develop and expand partner relationships with exchanges, custodians, lenders, and infrastructure providers.
- Execute structured business development processes to improve operational efficiency (e.g., CRM, campaign effectiveness).
What you will bring:
- Experience in both traditional financial and digital assets services, ideally from high-performing teams.
- At least 3+ years of FICC sales experience, working with institutional clients, with eCommerce experience being advantageous.
- Experience with spot and derivatives OTC products, especially options.
- Proven success in business development or client-facing roles, with a demonstrated ability to deliver business results.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate counterparties about services and effectively manage client relationships.
