Job Description

 

EC1 is working with a leading European exchange, connecting European economies to global capital markets. It operates regulated exchanges in Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Portugal. Our client operates regulated and transparent equity and derivatives markets, one of Europe’s leading electronic fixed income trading markets and is the largest centre for debt and funds listings in the world. Its total product offering includes Equities, FX, Exchange Traded Funds, Warrants & Certificates, Bonds, Derivatives, Commodities and Indices. The Group provides a multi-asset clearing house, and custody and settlement services through central securities depositories across Europe.

This role will be embedded in the Secondary Markets Marketing department, which covers marketing support for businesses across cash and derivatives trading, product listing, data services and clearing.

Its remit will be to support the expansion of their Repo business and diversification into OTC, in collaboration with other related business units, notably Clearing, which is a central piece of the company’s value chain.

With the next company’s strategic plan coming into force in Q4 2024, it will be a pivotal moment to join the Secondary Markets Marketing team.

 

The Marketing Manager’s role will be central to the creation, development and promotion of key strategic plan initiatives, including Repo and OTC, and their related services, as well as aiding in the Group’s overall portfolio diversification and innovation.

 

Its role will have the main objectives listed below:

 

  • Responsible for the overall marketing of their appropriate business area, working with key stakeholders including the business, sales, communications (press, brand, web…) and events team, to ensure alignment with business objectives while ensuring company-wide consistency.
  • Design and implement marketing strategies & plans within agreed timescales and budget.
  • Manage the marketing budget for the specific business unit.
  • Produce marketing materials (brochures, videos, adverts, etc.).
  • Draft content for Euronext’s website, sponsored media articles, industry institutions and clients, including thought-leadership articles and white papers, with the help of business and data teams.
  • Handle sponsorships of industry conferences and organise proprietary events, ensuring optimal visibility through branding, speaking opportunities and staff presence.
  • Manage social media promotion, in conjunction with the social media team.
  • Create email marketing campaigns within the CRM tool.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners including creative design agency, suppliers, event organisers and media partners.

 

 

Here are some of the characteristics we are looking for:

  • Minimum 4 years’ Marketing experience in B2B/ B2C Marketing, with an understanding of how to use marketing to raise brand awareness, drive growth in sales and enhance client relationships
  • Understanding of macroeconomic fundamentals (monetary policies, etc.)
  • Some basic knowledge of financial markets, ideally debt trading
  • Native or fluent in English, French or Italian is a strong plus
  • Curious and fast-learner
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills; meticulous, attentive to detail
  • Ability and confidence to take ownership of business unit(s) and initiatives from beginning to end
  • Strong editing, writing and verbal communication skills
